What does pet friendly mean?
A. Some units welcome pets and some do not, some beaches allow pets and some do not. If you want to bring a pet and your unit is pet friendly you will need to sign a separate “pet addendum” and pay a pet fee. Also be sure that your beach allows pets, and
if so,Gulf County does have a leash law and you cannot let your pet roam free.
Q. What do I need to bring on vacation?
A. Different homes provide different items but you should always bring beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, bug spray, plenty of sun screen. Groceries, paper products, additional toilet paper, detergent,toothpaste, hair dryer, shampoo, coffee
and filters, tin foil, seasonings, and dishwashing liquid. You may want to bring your favorite pillow, a calling card and any item that your pet needs.
Q. Is smoking allowed?
A. No, not under any circumstances inside a unit.
Q. Will I have a view of the gulf?
A. Yes, if the property is Gulf Front. Gulf View means a partial view of the water. Gulf Side is that the property is located on the Gulf side of Cape San Blas Road of Highway 30 C. Bay View and Bay Side are all on the bay side of Cape San Blas Road and
Q. Turtles on the beach?
A. The Forgotten Coast is a nesting area for several sea turtles which are on the Federal Government’s endangered species list and as such are protected by law. Nesting season is between May 1 and October 31. Nests should never be disturbed and outside lights
should remain off at night. Lights will confuse the turtles and could result in their death. There is an active Turtle Watch program in the area and they do a great job with protecting these fragile giants.
Q. How can I make a payment?
A. Bank Check with proper I.D., Travelers Checks, Master Card, Visa, or Discover.
Can a college student rent a vacation home?
A. No, unless they are 25 years or older or accompanied by an age appropriate adult who will have to sign the rental agreement.
Q. Do I need travelers insurance?
A. That is a decision that you will have to make but our travel insurance partner has a link on our home page. They will be happy to answer your questions and assist you in that decision.
Q. I am not sure about my arrival time, is that an issue?
A. Check in time is from 4pm-6pm, Eastern Standard Time. Arrangements can be made for a late check-in if you notify the office before 5 pm.
Q. What if I need a little extra time to check out?
A. Check out time before 10am. We have cleaning crews already set up and they need enough time to ready your unit for the guests that arrive later in the day.
